    Earle’s Stylish Signature

Recording King developed the Justin Townes Earle Signature model in direct collaboration with the revered singer-songwriter prior to his passing in 2020. The classic small-body tone of the JTE Signature starts with the solid sitka spruce top. Recording King’s CrossLap bracing gives it extra tight bracing tolerances, letting the top resonate more freely for outsize projection. Earle loved the Recording King brand’s early Dirty 30s guitars and specifically requested the traditional floating bridge and gold tailpiece for his signature model. To reflect his style and attention to detail, Earle outfitted his signature model with gold hardware, tortoise body binding and tortoise tuner buttons.

    Woodsy Cajun Tonality

LP has launched the versatile Wood Tapa, an innovative way to retrofit any existing snare drum with a cajon-like top and textured surface that can be played with hands, brushes or other soft implements. The LP Wood Tapa instantly transforms most 14-inch snare drums into super-sensitive snare cajons with an authentic, woodsy cajon tonality. Simply replace the batter side drumhead and counter hoop with the Wood Tapa using existing tension rods, and the transformation is complete.
