Tanglewood Jazz Festival Announces Lineup

From Aug. 30-Sept. 1, Tanglewood, the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra in Lenox, Mass., will host the Tanglewood Jazz Festival. The lineup for the mainstream fest has been set, and tickets go on sale Sunday, March 31 at 10 a.m. Tickets are available through the Boston Symphony’s SymphonyCharge at (888) 266-1200 or online at the BSO’s website, www.bso.org. Tickets are also available at the Bostix kiosks at Faneuil Hall and in Copley Square, at all Ticketmaster outlets, at the
Ticketmaster website, www.ticketmaster.com.

The lineup is as follows:

Aug. 30: Arturo Sandoval, Nestor Torres

Aug. 31, 1:30 p.m.: Organ Summit with the Jimmy McGriff Quartet and the Joey DeFrancesco Trio, with special guest David “Fathead” Newman

Aug. 31, 3 p.m.: Marian McPartland’s “Piano Jazz” with guest Sir Roland Hanna (Special taping of “Piano Jazz” for National Public Radio)

Aug. 31, 8 p.m.: Diana Krall; Roy Haynes “Birds Of a Feather” tribute to Charlie Parker

Sept. 1, 2 p.m.: Roy Hargrove Quintet; Roberya Gamborini

Sept. 1, 8 p.m.: Dave Brubeck Quartet
