Bassist Kermit Driscoll, who is suffering from Lyme disease, is being helped out through a benefit concert at Barbes in Brooklyn on Wednesday, Dec. 13. While Driscoll is improving physically, he is still saddled with thousands of dollars in medical bills.

The concert features Dave Douglas, Ohad Taylor, Mick Rossi and Ben Monder. Driscoll is slated to perform with Russ Johnson. Other planned benefits for Driscoll will be at Trumpets in Montclair, N.J., on Dec. 19 and at Manhattan’s Tonic on Jan. 29, 2007.
