Berklee Celebrates Black History Month

Berklee College of Music presents its Black History Month Music Celebration 2006, a series of concerts, clinics and lectures that will be held throughout the month of February.

The celebration offers a wide variety of music and lectures by faculty, students, and renowned visiting artists. Highlights include the Warrick L. Carter Lecture Series, which will feature Terence Blanchard on February 10; The Music Of Bob Marley, taking place on the 13th and “Black Music, The Dippin’ Pool: Bill Banfield and Friends,” which will feature special guests Stanley Clarke and Lenny White on the 21st.

All events are open to the public. Most events are free, except the ones taking place in the Berklee Performance Center, which cost $5 for the general public.
