Blind Boys Of Alabama Announce Tour and Album

The Blind Boys Of Alabama are planning a national tour in support of their new album Down In New Orleans, which will be released Jan. 29, 2008 (Time Life). To kick off the tour, the group will join gospel artists including the Dixie Hummingbirds, Chuck Campbell and the McIntosh County Shouters in the National Heritage Masters: Gospel Caravan concert Jan. 25, 2008. The band will also perform with Mavis Staples and Taj Mahal during the tour.

The Blind Boys Of Alabama are Jimmy Carter, Eric “Ricky” McKinnie, Joey Williams, Caleb “Bobby” Butler, Tracy Pierce, Billy Bowers and Ben Moore.
