Blind Boys of ‘Bama Inducted to Christian Music Hall of Fame

The soul/gospel group, Blind Boys Of Alabama, has been inducted into the Christian Music Hall of Fame, joining such artists as the Reverend Al Green, BeBe & CeCe Winans, Elvis Presley, The Gospel Hummingbirds, Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Mahalia Jackson and many others.

The group’s next album, Down In New Orleans (Time Life), will be released Jan. 29.

The Blind Boys of Alabama will be touring through the holiday season, performing music from their Christmas album Go Tell It On The Mountain. Below are a list of tour dates.

11/28: Toad’s Place of Richmond, Richmond, Va.
11/30: Fine Arts Center, Amherst, Ma.
12/1: B.B. King Blues Club, New York
12/2: The State Theatre, State College, Pa.
12/4: Clay Center, Charleston, W.V.
12/5: Shaftman Performance Hall, Roanoke, Va.
