Coastal Jazz Partners With Vancouver 2010 Cultural Olympiad

Vancouver’s Coastal Jazz & Blues Society will present four major music events in partnership with the Vancouver 2010 Cultural Olympiad in Feb. 2008. Events include the 20th annual Time Flies Improvised Music Festival, the Spanish Harlem Orchestra plus guests Rumba Calzada, saxophonist Ornette Coleman and singer Kiran Ahluwalia.

“Working with the Cultural Olympiad has created exciting opportunities for Coastal Jazz & Blues Society,” said Executive Director Julie Smith. “This partnership will enhance our existing programming season and enable extraordinary opportunities to present rare and memorable performances.”
