Cyrus Chestnut To Open New York’s Miller Theatre Jazz Series

Cyrus Chestnut’s “Jazz Goes To Church” concert at Columbia University’s Miller Theatre on Sept. 30 will be the first concert in the venue’s fall jazz series.

Along with Chestnut’s trio with James Carter and Carla Cook, other performances include Marilyn Crispell on Oct. 21, Nicholas Payton on Nov. 18 and a tribute to Julius Hemphill featuring Marty Ehrlich on Nov. 9.
