Dubai Looking For Jazz Talent

  I

Rising jazz artists are invited to audition for slots at the fifth annual Dubai International Jazz Festival, which will be held in the United Arab Emirates in March 2007.

“In order to be considered for the festival, artists should mail us a kit that includes three CD copies and three DVD copies of their live material,” said Eric Kahi, marketing and communications manager for Chillout Productions, which is presenting the festival. “Applications are accepted throughout the year on an ongoing basis, but we start focusing on the selection process beginning in October and we’ll give priority for trios and quartets.”

The submission deadline for the Dubai festival will close on Nov. 15.
