Inaugural Women In Jazz Festival Announced

International Women in Jazz, Midtown Arts Common and the Jazz Ministry at Saint Peter’s Church in Manhattan are collaborating to present the inaugural Women in Jazz Festival April 20–22.

The festival will feature a photo exhibit of women musicians, workshops and concerts, including performances by Ann Hampton Callaway, Carla Cook and the Kate McGarry Band.

Workshops include author and radio host Sheila Anderson’s “Performance Etiquette and Other Tips to Further Your Career” and a “What Is Jazz?” workshop for youth on April 21.
