Jazz at Lincoln Center announced that the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis and Odadaa! with Yacub Addy will tour Congo Square, written by Marsalis and Addy, to 11 cities in June.

Congo Square was named after the location that served as the only place in the United States where African slaves were allowed to perform their own music and dance in the 1700s and 1800s.
