JALC Orchestra To Debut ‘Legends Of Blue Note’ In April

The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis will debut big band arrangements of songs from some of Blue Note Records’ major albums from 1939 through the late ’60s in its “Legends of Blue Note” series, April 26–28 at New York’s Rose Theater at Frederick P. Rose Hall.

“Legends of Blue Note” will feature music from Herbie Hancock’s Maiden Voyage, Lee Morgan’s Cornbread and Horace Silver’s Songs For My Father, among others.

Tickets for the “Legends of Blue Note” are $30–$120 and are available at the Jazz at Lincoln Center box office.
