Jazzing Up QVC

  I

Popular shopping channel QVC will get jazzed up on Nov. 14 at 2 p.m. when pianist Eric Mintel performs with his quartet on the channel to launch a three-CD box set of music. The box set includes the 2002 CD Hopscotch>, Dynamo from 2004, and their most recent release, Four On The Floor.

This performance marks the first time that the network, which reaches more than 87 million households, has included a jazz performance in their programming. Performing on the network along with pianist and composer Eric Mintel will be alto saxophone player Neil Wetzel, Dave Antonow on bass and Dave Mohn on drums.

Fresh off their QVC appearance, the quartet will perform their eleventh concert at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., in December.
