Jon Faddis Releases Teranga

Trumpeter Jon Faddis has released Teranga (Koch), which is his first quartet recording in 15 years.

The disc features eight of Faddis’ compositions along with the group’s interpretation of Benny Carter’s “The Courtship.” Along with drummer Dion Parson, pianist David Hazeltine and bassist Kiyoshi Kitagawa, guests include trumpeter Clark Terry, flutist Frank Wess and guitarist Russell Malone.
