Krall and Friends Play Fundraiser

Diana Krall will headline her fifth fundraiser for the Vancouver General Hospital’s Leukemia and Bone Marrow Transplantation Program on March 5. Special guests Elvis Costello and Elton John plan to join her at The Fairmont Hotel in Vancouver, B.C. for the sold-out black-tie dinner and auction.

Krall became involved with the hospital and charity after her mother, Adella, was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 1996. Adella dies in 2002. Myeloma is a cancer that effects the immune system.

“This event is about celebrating life and love,” Krall said. “We are very grateful to the hospital for the care [my mother] received and the extra precious years we had with her. We want other families to experience the same with their loved ones.”
