Storyville Records has released Louis Armstrong In Scandinavia Vol.3. The album starts of with Armstrong’s 1955 performances in Scandinavia, and includes music from his concert in Stockholm, as well as from his special events in Copenhagen.

The trumpeter was elected a honorary member of the Student’s Society in Copenhagen in 1955 and the mini concert that followed was recorded by the Danish Radio. Selections played at that concert, along with music from his 1959 visit to Scandinavia when Armstrong played to sold out crowds, is all included on “Louis Armstrong In Scandinavia Vol.3.” The series will conclude with a 4th volume.

Highlights from the 19-track album include, “Sweet Georgia Brown,” “A Kiss To Build A Dream On,” and “When It’s Sleepy Time Down South.”
