Palmetto Records will release a duo album by multireedist Marty Ehrlich and pianist Myra Melford on Sept. 4.

Spark! features originals from Ehrlich and Melford, as well as Andrew Hill’s “Images of Time,” and Robin Holcomb’s “Up Do.”

Ehrlich and Melford have been performing and touring as a duo since 2000. Ehrlich said of the collaboration, “Myra and I share a passion to use whatever musical forms we can, traditional, new or in between, that work to bring out our most expressive music making.”
