Michel Camilo And Tomatito Team Up Again

  I

Pianist Michel Camilo and guitarist Tomatito have gotten together to release a sequel to their successful 2000 jazz-meets-flamenco disc, Spain . Titled Spain Again (Emarcy), the duo continue to delve into their mix of classical piano, Gypsy harmonies, Latin rhythms and jazz improvisation.

“The musical horizons we travel together on this recording are close to our hearts,” Camilo said. “It was so amazing to see how after we shared our personal feelings for each song, we simply enjoyed the self-discovery process by letting the music tell us where it wanted to flow.”

Along with the recording, Camilo and Tomatito will perform at New York’s Blue Note Sept. 25–27.
