More Unissued Art Pepper Tracks Released

The next disc in a series of saxophonist Art Pepper’s previously unreleased recordings, Art Pepper: The Art History Project (Widow’s Taste) will be released on June 23.

This 3-disc set is the fourth volume in a series that the saxophonist’s widow, Laurie Pepper, has compiled. The collection includes recordings from 1950 with Stan Kenton, rehearsals at Contemporary Studios in 1964 and a previously unreleased 1982 concert in New York. Other musicians on the discs include Stan Kenton, Stanley Cowell, Warne Marsh and Shorty Rogers.
