Musicians Play Their Part for Dennis Irwin

  I

Joe Lovano and John Scofield will team up with Jazz At Lincoln Center and Wynton Marsalis to bring together performers March 10 for Playing Our Parts, a benefit concert for bassist Dennis Irwin. All the artists are donating their services and Jazz At Lincoln Center is donating its venue and staff to raise funds for Irwin through The Jazz Foundation Of America. Irwin is in need of immediate financial support for medical treatment and expenses as he battles cancer.

The concert will feature performances by Mose Allison, Ron Carter, Bill Charlap, Jack DeJohnette, Bill Frisell, Jim Hall, Jon Hendricks, Wynton Marsalis, Paul Motian, John Patitucci and Sultans Of Swing with David Berger.
