A new jazz festival, PAETEC Jazz, will be held in Baltimore from Aug. 9–11. The festival’s 40 concerts will be held in the city’s downtown and Inner Harbor areas.

“Considering the enduring history that jazz has in Baltimore, this is a great day for the city,” said Baltimore mayor Sheila Dixon. “From Billie Holiday to Cab Calloway, jazz has set the musical tone for Baltimore and the PAETEC Jazz Festival gives us yet another opportunity to highlight the offerings of our world class city.”

The complete artist lineup, schedule and ticket sale information will be announced in May.
