The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and Foundation will distribute $250,000 to local arts and education initiatives. These funds will be distributed through the foundation’s Community Partnership Grants program.

Grant applications are due by April 17 and awards will be announced on May 14. To help guide applicants through the process, the foundation will hold workshops on Feb. 28 and March 7.

“We’re pleased to maintain our tradition of supporting the arts, music, culture and education in our community,” said Don Marshall, the foundation’s executive director. “At a time when our city continues to face many struggles, we hope that the expansion of our community partnership grans program sends a strong message that New Orleans is poised for a cultural renaissance.”
