Phil Woods and David Newman have been added to the line-up for a November benefit to help Chicago’s Jazz Showcase build its new home.

While the showcase is scheduled to open in early 2008 in the city’s Dearborn Station, showcase proprietor Joe Segal has a hand in booking music at Joe’s Bebop Cafe at Navy Pier. That restaurant will host the benefit on Nov. 19 at 7:00 p.m. Woods and Newman will sit in with The Mulligan Mosaics Big Band. Other performers include Howard Levy, Larry Novak and Frank DeRone.
