The Robert Cray band will release its first live recording, Live From Across The Pond on Sept. 12.

This double disc live set was recorded at London’s Royal Albert Hall in May and will be released on the singer’s new independent label, Nozzle, which Vanguard will distribute.

“Fans have asked us for a live record for a long time,” Cray said. “Many attempts have been made, but the seven shows at Royal Albert made it possible to do it right.”

Along with this release, Cray will tour North America with Eric Clapton in September and October.

“Cerebral and academic thought is a different way to approach music,” Flea says of his continuing dive into jazz. “I’ve always relied on emotion and intuition and physicality.”
