Saxophonist Charles Lloyd and Sangam Selected to Play at Nobel Ceremony

The Nobel Committee has requested saxophonist Charles Lloyd and his trio Sangam, with Zakir Hussain and Eric Harland, to perform during the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony in Oslo on Dec. 10.

The Nobel Peace Prize is shared by Al Gore and Rajendra Pachauri, of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), who both continue efforts to slow global warming. Nobel Prize winners receive a diploma, a medal and monetary award. Gore and Pachauri will split 10 million Swedish Krona (over $1 million).
