Saxophonist Yosvany Terry to Play at Free Concert

Cuban composer and saxophonist Yosvany Terry will bring the music and dance of West Africa and Cuba to life at a free concert at New York’s Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture Dec. 16. They will perform a new work of world music commissioned by the Stanford Jazz Workshop.

Among others percussionists Roman Diaz and Pedro Martinez, guitarist Dominic Kanza and bassist Yunior Terry will play the 3 p.m. show. The Schomburg Center is located at 515 Malcolm X Blvd. in Harlem. More info:
