Set Your Alarm for May 13

  I

On May 13, Palmetto Records will release Set The Alarm For Monday from drummer Bobby Previte. For his third release on Palmetto, Previte has coalesced The New Bump, a musical extension of Previte’s original Bump The Renaissance bands.

Previte started Set The Alarm For Monday slowly, with the hope that the title track would pull the listener into the rest of the album, which was envisioned as a single work. Based on the sound he conceived of for the album, Previte sought out Ellery Eskelin, Bill Ware and Brad Christopher Jones for the band. He also invited percussionist Jim Pugliese and trumpeter Steven Bernstein to join The New Bump as special guests.
