Concord Jazz has signed vibraphonist Stefon Harris to an exclusive recording contract. Harris’ Concord debut is scheduled to be released in late 2009.

On his first Concord outing, Harris will be joined by his current band, Blackout, which features a fusion of acoustic music and progressive sounds. Harris debuted Blackout with the 2004 Blue Note CD Evolution.

“We couldn’t be more honored that Stefon has teamed with Concord to continue what will no doubt be a long and extraordinary career,” said Chris Dunn, senior director A&R Concord Jazz. “We look forward to an incredibly rewarding relationship.”
