Tribeca Arts Center Showcase Monk Institute Trumpet Finalists

The Tribeca Performing Arts Center, in partnership with the Thelonious Monk Institute, will present Jazz In Progress/Monk In Motion: The Next Face Of Jazz, featuring the finalists of the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Trumpet Competition.

Each of the three concerts of the series will feature one finalist leading their ensemble, demonstrating the perpetually diverse nature of jazz, and showcasing three young trumpeters making jazz their life’s work.

Below are the dates of the concerts that will take place in New York:
Nov. 26: Jean Caze (2nd place)
Dec. 10: Ambrose Akinmusire (winner)
Dec. 17: Michael Rodriguez (3rd place)
