Verve Records has compiled But Beautiful: The Best Of Shirley Horn On Verve. The 14-song album, set for an Oct. 11 release, celebrates one of the most beloved voices in jazz with songs taken from Horn’s Verve catalog. Three recently recorded live tunes—“Jelly, Jelly,” “Loads Of Love” and “I Didn’t Know What Time It Was”—from New York’s Le Jazz Au Bar are also featured on the CD.

Horn has been part of Verve since her 1988 release, Close Enough For Love. Other albums in her Verve catalog include Here’s To Life, Light Out Of Darkness, You Won’t Forget Me and The Main Ingredient.
