Trumpeter/composer Wallace Roney will conclude the East Coast leg of his spring tour with a show at New Haven, Conn.’s Firehouse 12 on April 6.
He will be joined with members of his sextet including his brother, Antoine Roney, soprano and tenor saxophones; Robert Irving, piano; Rashaan Carter, bass; Eric Allen, drums; Val, turntables.
Roney’s career has included work with Art Blakey, Tony Williams and Miles Davis. His 1991 work with Davis was documented on Miles Davis & Quincy Jones Live At Montreux.
There will be two sets on April 6, one at 8:30 p.m. and another at 10:00 p.m. Tickets are $15 for the early set, $10 for the late set.

Foster was truly a drummer to the stars, including Miles Davis, Sonny Rollins and Joe Henderson.
