Weeklong Series Honors Coltrane

The Boston-area John Coltrane Memorial Concert is expanding its annual programming to one full week of paying tribute to the legendary saxophonist.

From Sept. 16-22, Boston and Cambridge, Mass., will host four concerts and three educational events in halls and classrooms at the area’s universities. Featured performers include the Ravi Coltrane Quartet and Amiri Baraka, as well as the Bill Pierce Quartet with Mulgrew Miller.
