XM Satellite Radio has announced plans to add two jazz programs to its roster starting next month.

“Live From Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola” and “Live From Jazz At Lincoln Center” will feature jazz performances from Frederick P. Rose Hall, home of Jazz at Lincoln Center. The former will debut Oct. 19 at 8 p.m. EST and continue as a weekly Friday night series, and the latter will kick off Oct. 20 at 8 p.m. EST and continue as a Saturday night series. Both shows will run on XM’s traditional jazz channel, Real Jazz (XM 70).

In addition, Wynton Marsalis will return to the studio for new episodes of his monthly series, “In The Swing Seat With Wynton Marsalis.” The show premieres Friday at 2 p.m. EST on XM 70. The season premiere episode will also be available all day Friday on XM’s new original series channel, XMX (XM 2).

More programming information, including encore broadcast times, is available online at the Real Jazz web site.
