Yoshi’s Jazz Club Announces Art Contest

Throughout May Yoshi’s Jazz Club & Restaurant will celebrate its 10th year at its Jack London Square location in Oakland, Calif., as well as its 35th year of presenting jazz music and Japanese food to the Bay Area.

Artists are invited to submit original work for consideration as the official anniversary logo, which will be featured on the restaurant’s web site and all promotional material for the celebration. Submissions should represent Yoshi’s history in the Bay Area, jazz, and Japanese heritage and cuisine.

The grand-prize winner will receive five pieces of merchandise and/or CDs featuring their artwork, along with a $500 Yoshi’s gift certificate.

Yoshi’s will accept submissions in color or black and white mixed/digital media. Electronic PDF submissions may be sent to replies@yoshis.com. CD submissions will only be accepted if accompanied with a printout of the work. Work should not be matted, and all entries must include the artist’s full name, address and phone number.
