Pianist and vocalist Alina Engibaryan recently issued We Are on Feb. 16. And today, she debuts a video for a live in-studio version of “I’ll Be Around,” which includes some genre luminaries.

Providing Engibaryan support on the new track are bassist Michael League, saxophonist Chris Potter and drummer Kendrick Scott.

“Working with these three amazing musicians was a dream come true,” she said. “All of them have inspired me in so many ways throughout many years. Michael, who produced We Are, is one of the biggest inspirations in my life.”

The album’s only cover, “I’ll Be Around,” largely is focused on Engibaryan’s keyboard and smoky vocals, but provides ample room for a solo from Potter.

“It just spoke to me. It’s an old tune that’s very melodic, but with a sad message,” the Russian-born singer said about “I’ll Be Around.” “I thought it was beautiful and worked well with the other music [on the album].”
