Sergio and Odair Assad Begin U.S. Tour

The guitarist brothers Sergio and Odair Assad will begin an American tour on Oct. 12 in Mount Kisco, N.Y. to promote their recent CD, Jardim Abandonado (Nonesuch). The disc features their interpretations of Antonio Carlos Jobim, Claude Debussy and George Gershwin compositions.

After the first concert, the tour will continue on to New York City on Oct. 13, Bethesda, Md., on Oct. 14, Milwaukee, Wisc., on Oct. 17, Sedona, Ariz., on Oct. 19, El Paso, on Oct. 21, Seattle, Wash., on Oct. 23 and Portland, Ore., on Oct. 24.

During the first two months of 2008, the Assad brothers will continue to tour the U.S. as part of the Brazilian Guitar Festival with their sister Badi Assad, guitarist Romero Lubambo and percussionist Celso Machado.
