Taylor Eigsti Comes to You From Concord

Concord will release pianist Taylor Eigsti’s second disc for the label, Let It Come To You, on May 6. The 11-song album is his sixth overall and includes standards and interpretations of newer works from artists such as Pat Metheny and the pop band Eels.

“I wanted this record to be a combination of much of the fun music and arrangements of jazz standards that my group has been performing live, songs like ‘Caravan,’ ‘Fever,’ ‘Deluge’ and ‘I Love You,’ and my own compositions, which primarily reflect the concept of acceptance toward the things in life that were, and are, out of my control,” Eigsti said.

Co-produced by Eigsti and Chris Dunn, the album features Julian Lage on guitar, Reuben Rogers on bass and Eric Harland on drums. Joshua Redman on tenor saxophone and Edmar Casteneda on Columbian harp serve as guest artists for the album.

Eigsti will tour throughout the year in support of Let It Come To You.
