Berne To Release Live Sublime Friction CD

Saxophonist/Composer Tim Berne’s band Science Friction has plans to release a new live LP, The Sublime And. Recorded in Switzerland and available under Thirsty Ear’s Blue Series, the album will be available October 7.

Mixed by David Torn, Berne plays with electric guitarist Marc Ducret, drummer Tom Rainey and keyboardist and laptopper Craig Taborn on the textural new grooves.

According to Berne: “The Sublime And was recorded at the end of a three-week tour in a beautiful venue and on a night when the music seemed to flow effortlessly. I think everyone in the band agrees that this was one of our finest concerts in our three-year history as a band.”
