Symphony Center has unveiled the lineup for its 2006–2007 Jazz at Symphony Center concert series.
The series begins on September 22 with a celebration of the music and culture of New Orleans, The Big River Concert. Crescent City native Branford Marsalis will bring his quartet to the venue on October 13. Other performers include McCoy Tyner on December 1, the Count Basie Orchestra on February 2, Dianne Reeves on February 16, Marcus Roberts and Regina Carter on March 16, Pat Metheny and Brad Mehldau on April 6, Roy Hargrove’s big band and small ensemble on May 4, Gunther Schuller leading a tribute to Charles Mingus on May 18 and Dave Brubeck on June 1.
