Pipes Of Peace, an intimate profile of the world’s first jazz bagpipe player, will premiere Sept. 27 at the Wildwood By The Sea Film Festival in Wildwood, N.J.
The film explores Philadelphian Rufus Harley’s philosophy, struggles and successes throughout his jazz bagpipe career, which included recording dates with Herbie Mann and Sonny Rollins. Pipes also features guitarist Pat Martino and producers Kenneth Gamble and Joel Dorn weighing in on his legacy.
