Jazz Gallery To Host Jason Lindner Pre-CD Release

  I

The Jazz Gallery in New York City will host the Jason Lindner Big Band for two nights this week in anticipation of their upcoming release, Live at The Jazz Gallery.

The shows will take place Thursday and Friday, and each will feature sets at 9 and 10:30 p.m. The band’s upcoming album is scheduled for release August 28 on Anzic Records, but will be available for purchase at the Jazz Gallery during their stint there.

The Jason Lindner Big Band made its full-length debut, The Ensemble: Premonition, on Chick Corea’s Stretch label, in 2000. The long-awaited follow-up was recorded at the Jazz Gallery in November 2005. This week’s performances will be the big band’s first since that date.

The Jazz Gallery is located at 290 Hudson Street in lower Manhattan. Tickets are $15. For more information, go to jasonlindner.net.
