(Photo: Courtesy Louisiana Fish Fry)Louisiana Fish Fry, a leading manufacturer and distributor of authentic, Louisiana-inspired food products, has entered a partnership with Troy Andrews (aka Trombone Shorty). The partnership blends the trombonist and bandleader’s New Orleans-seasoned musical style with Louisiana Fish Fry’s dedication to bringing the authentic taste of the bayou to kitchens everywhere.
They will promote the company’s seafood and chicken breadings and entrée bases like gumbo and étouffée; launch curated Spotify playlists designed to pair with signature recipes; bring Trombone Shorty’s brand on the road through a tour engagement program that will feature Louisiana Fish Fry at select concerts; and create a custom-composed sound for Louisiana Fish Fry’s upcoming Make Tonight Cajun Knight campaign.
“Louisiana Fish Fry has been a staple in my kitchen since childhood,” said Andrews. “In Louisiana, our culture revolves around food, music and community, and this partnership celebrates all of that. I’m proud to team up with a brand that captures the true flavors of home and to share that spirit with the world.”
Growing up in New Orleans, Andrews’ kitchen was filled with the flavors of home. His grandmother’s red beans and rice, served with fried fish or chicken, were staples, and Louisiana Fish Fry has long been a part of his family meals. When it comes to comfort food, his go-to is a classic fried shrimp po’boy.
“Partnering with Trombone Shorty is a true celebration of Louisiana,” said Joe Tuza, Louisiana Fish Fry CEO. “Just like his music, our products are rooted in tradition and full of energy and flavor. Together, we’re excited to share the sounds and tastes of Louisiana culture with fans across the country.”
“When Primary Wave partnered with Trombone Shorty earlier this year, we knew how important Louisiana culture was to him,” said Joshua Rothstein, director of brand partnerships at Primary Wave Music. “Our goal was to find a brand that celebrates and embraces Louisiana the way he does every day. This partnership with Louisiana Fish Fry was a no-brainer. It’s a product that has been a staple in his family’s kitchen for years, which makes this alliance even more special, and we are beyond excited for what’s to come.”

Hammond came to the blues through the folk boom of the late 1950s and early 1960s, which he experienced firsthand in New York’s Greenwich Village.
