A new jazz series, “Made in Chicago: A Jazz Celebration,” will bring jazz to the new Jay Pritzker Pavilion at Millennium Park in Chicago for six concerts this summer.

The first five shows are on Thursday evenings in July and August, and the series concludes with Orbert Davis’ Chicago Jazz Philharmonic on Monday, Aug. 29. The Thursday shows feature the Chicago Jazz Ensemble conducted by Jon Faddis; Kurt Elling’s Scat Brothers and a Sister with Jon Hendricks, Mark Murphy and Sheila Jordan; Danilo Perez with Angel Melendez’s 911 Mambo Orchestra; the Exploding Star Orchestra; and Legends and Lions: Bebop Brass Meets Saxophone Summit.
