Premonition To Release Two Box Sets

Premonition Records has announced the release of two box sets: Patricia Barber, The Premonition Years: 1994-2002 and Best of Von Freeman on Premonition. Both sets will be released in the U.S. on Sept. 25.

The sets chronicle the two most important, and extensive, musical relationships in the short 13-year history of Premonition Records. Vocalist/pianist Patricia Barber made five records for Premonition, beginning with 1994’s Cafe Blue, and including her breakout Modern Cool, which garnered a rare five-star DownBeat review. Von Freeman delivered four albums to the label, the first of which was 2001’s Live at the Dakota.
