Columbia/Legacy will release the five-disc Fifty Years: The Artistry Of Tony Bennett on Oct. 12. Columbia has expanded its 1991 Tony Bennett box set to include the last 13 years, adding 23 new songs and an extra liner note essayist.

The album was produced by Didier Deutsch, who worked with Bennett to pick definitive versions of each song on both the old and new box. Fifty Years sees the addition of one old song, a 1970 version of Hank Williams’ “Cold, Cold Heart,” and 22 songs from nine new Columbia albums Bennett recorded between 1992 and 2002.

In related news, a new studio effort from Bennett, The Art Of Romance, will be released Nov. 9 on RPM/Columbia.
