Stax Announces Release Date For New Soulive Album

Stax Records has announced that it will release Soulive’s No Place Like Soul on July 31. The album is the band’s first for the label.

With the new addition of Toussaint, a vocalist who has spent the past several years touring with his reggae outfit the China Band, No Place Like Soul is the first Soulive album with a full-time vocalist. Brothers Alan (drums) and Neal Evans (Hammond B-3 organ), and guitarist Eric Krasno comprise the rest of the band.

The album features 13 new tracks including “Waterfall,” “If This World Were A Song” and “Comfort.”
