Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG) has acquired the catalog Miles Davis.
Through the agreement, UMPG will administer such compositions as “Bitches Brew,” “Boplicity,” “Bye Bye,” “Dig,” “Freddy Freeloader,” “It’s About That Time,” “Miles Ahead,” “Miles Runs the Voodoo Down,” “Rated X,” “So What,” and more.
“We are deeply honored to have the late great jazz musician Miles Davis added to our catalogue of songs,” said David Renzer, chairman and CEO of UMPG. “He defined an era and has been the inspiration for many other artists after him.
