Concord Offers Jazz Visuals on DVD

  I

In an unusual combination of jazz and visual art, Concord Records has released its new series of DVDs, Jazzscapes.

Each volume in the series has a theme and features classic jazz music behind scrolling, mood-provoking images. The first four themes include Visions Of Christmas, with artists like Rosemary Clooney and Charlie Byrd enhancing scenes of falling snowflakes and lighted Christmas trees, and Into The Evening, showing rolling waves of the Pacific in the light of a setting sun with the music from Peter Cincotti and Karrin Allyson. The other two volumes are Rhythms & Waves and A Time For Love.

At $9.98 a pop, the DVDs feature digital surround sound, high definition video and artist and song information.
