Trumpeter Dave Douglas’ latest recording of new material has just been released by his own record label, Greenleaf Music, featuring performances from his working quintet.

The two-disc album, culled from a six-night, 12-set run at New York’s Jazz Standard in December 2006, features 14 new Douglas compositions never before heard on record. In addition, there are two extra tracks, “Magic Triangle” and “A Single Sky,” in radical rearrangements.

Visit musicstem.com to listen to samples of these new tunes and to purchase the album. The download-only Jazz Standard - Full Book of all 79 tracks is also available for those who want all of the music.
