William Paterson University in Fort Wayne, N.J., has announced the details for this fall’s Jazz Room series. The series features Sunday afternoon concerts and meet-the-artist sessions at the school’s Shea Center for Performing Arts.
This year’s lineup includes the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra on Sept. 30, Jerry Gonzalez and the Fort Apache Band on Oct. 7, the Winard Harper Sextet on Oct. 14, Jimmy Heath with the William Paterson University Jazz Orchestra on Oct. 21, the Anat Fort Trio on Oct. 28 and the Bill Lee Sextet on Nov. 4.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for senior citizens and members of the William Paterson community, and $8 for students. They can be purchased by calling (973) 720-2371 or online at wpunj.edu.
Galper was often regarded as an underrated master of his craft.
